When I saw the title of this book and who it was by, I just had to get it. Very few people could get away with a title like Life Beyond 100. But Dr. Norm Shealy can. In case you're not familiar with Dr. Shealy, he's a highly respected and prominent physician who became involved with the holistic health movement before it was cool. He's a true pioneer in the field of energy medicine and is known for his commonsensical approach to well-being and self-care advocacy.
Dr. Shealy's premise in Life Beyond 100 there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to live to the ripe old age of 100 – or even older. All that's called for is a basic understanding that we are, as we medical intuitives have always known, beings of energy as well as flesh and bones. If we take into account the needs of our physical bodies together with the workings of our electromagnetic system, we should be able to reach new levels of longevity.
What distinguishes Life Beyond 100 is that it's not simply about meditating or exercising your way to becoming a centenarian. To be sure, the recommendations encompass a bit of both. You might say that this book is holistic itself in its approach, including judicious advice on nutrition and diet, simple exercise routines and proven techniques to bust your stress and increase your self-esteem.
Whether you decide to adopt his recommendations in full or cherry pick is up to you. Either way Life Beyond 100 will show you a new way to better living and better health.
