At long last the London 2012 Olympics are underway! We've been waiting for this moment for seven years and it's hard to believe that it's all come together as well as it has. Of course, there are always the naysayers out there and the media is forever poised to latch on to anything that might not go according to plan. But for me it's such an exciting and even magical time.
There is just such a buzz surrounding these games. Something that I feel will set these games apart is that so many events are going to be taking place in iconic venues nestled in historic sites. I'm convinced that both athletes and spectators will get a real energetic boost from the mere locations themselves. And I'm certain that we're going to see so many world records shattered and new ones created. To be sure, London 2012 will raise the bar on so many fronts.
