Last night I caught another episode of one of my favourite programmes on TV at the moment - Wallander. It's a Swedish detective drama based on the novels of Henning Mankell. The eponymous main character is a police inspector who constantly finds himself facing the dark underbelly of Swedish society. It's not all Ikea flat-pack furniture, ice hockey and plates of reindeer. It's pretty dark and sometimes I admit that I have to look away. But I'm hooked.
