Read the testimonials for my readings!

My Business Readings consist of an intuitive evaluation of your business that results in a formal and detailed written report of approximately 5,000 words and, if you wish, a follow-up telephone consultation.

Business Readings provide a unique road map as to what is going on in your business. They can reveal where the business is headed, what obstacles lie ahead for it and what's required to maximise its potential. With my insights, I'll offer you what I perceive to be necessary to solve old problems and identify new opportunities.

Even if your business is already successful, a Business Reading can assist your decision-making for the future. It's a tool to help you plan for what's around the corner — by identifying precisely where you need to focus your attention, effort and resources.

With my consulting background and corporate experience, my Business Readings are produced to a high professional standard. Many clients go on to share their readings with their fellow owners, board members or stakeholders.

Your Business Reading would include the following:

  1. Executive Summary:

In this section, I offer an overview of my impressions — a brief statement of my understanding of the business along with a concise summary of my intuitive recommendations. This part of the report will rapidly acquaint you and your management team with the essence of my analysis and my main conclusions.

  2. Business Direction:

Most businesses start out with a clear strategy. However, too much of the time the day-to-day running of the business gets in the way and the business seems to take on a life of its own, running itself. This isn't always a good thing for the ever-important bottom line.

In this section, I perceive where I sense the business is headed. This is where I feel the business will go if nothing were to change. Many times, this is something of a "wake-up call" for management.

In turn, I pose the question: What is this business trying to do? To this end, I include my impressions of the vision management has for the business and whether this is consistent and appropriate for long-term success or whether it should be modified or updated.

I conclude this section with what I detect to be the major challenges for the business — the nature of those challenges, the cause and, of course, how to address them.

  3. Market Outlook:

Knowing where the business is headed right now is one thing. But equally important is an appreciation of where it could go in the future. To understand this, you have to understand your market.

In this section of the reading, I intuitively evaluate what I sense as lying ahead for your market. Should you be preparing for growth and expansion? Or, will other forces drive sales down?

Next, I consider what you should be doing given what I perceive to be the market outlook. Do you need to re-assess your business model? Have you lost touch with your customers? Should you be focusing on addressing issues within the organisation as a priority?

And finally in this section, I offer what I see with regard to your business's ability to adapt and respond to the changes required by your market.

  4. Questions and Answers:

In this section, I take your most salient questions about your business and answer them with my intuitive insights. Sometimes the last thing a business leader needs is more data — more spreadsheets and yet another focus group. Instead, I get straight to the point and relate what I perceive as directly as I can.

  5. Recommendations:

Based on my intuitive analysis and assessment, I formulate specific and practical recommendations. These may consist of additional areas to focus on, decisions to be made or other factors to be taken into account. I may also recommend techniques or exercises to help bring about any necessary energy shifts in those running the business. After all, human beings lie at the heart of any business and the state of their energy has a direct impact on the energy (read performance) of the business.

  6. Telephone Consultation (optional):

I offer an optional 30-minute consultation by telephone after you have received your reading to discuss my intuitive impressions, address any questions you may have and discuss your next steps.
